Job summary

NEP Group in the United Kingdom seeks a seasoned Vision Engineer to own and deliver complex live productions from design through live delivery.

You will lead the design, configuration, testing and validation of vision systems for OB trucks, flypack and remote productions, with hands-on setup of SMPTE ST 2110, IP networks and SDI workflows. Join a collaborative team, mentor junior engineers, produce technical documentation and ensure system reliability on time-critical broadcasts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vision Engineer in OB/live production environments.
• Strong ability to design, configure and support complex vision systems.
• In-depth knowledge of SMPTE ST 2110 and IP-based production.
• Understanding of broadcast network architecture, multicast and PTP.
• Hands-on experience with broadcast network switches and SDI workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision systems from design through live delivery for OB, flypack and remote productions.
• Lead system design, configuration, testing and validation of vision chains, including cameras, CCUs, mixers, routers and multiviewers.
• Configure and support IP-based production environments with SMPTE ST 2110, PTP, multicast and redundancy.
• Lead integration of vision, audio, replay and wider production systems; operate as Guarantee Vision Engineer on live productions.
• Produce and maintain technical diagrams, build records and documentation; mentor junior engineers.
