Salary: Up to £90,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits
Full-time | Permanent | 40 hours per week

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon to take the next step in their career and lead an established Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) service in Middlesbrough.

The clinic provides out-of-hours emergency care for its own practice and around 16 surrounding veterinary practices, creating a diverse and rewarding caseload. From emergency presentations to complex critical care cases, the role offers excellent opportunities to use and develop advanced clinical skills.

As Lead Vet, the successful candidate will be a visible clinical leader, helping to maintain high standards of patient care while mentoring vets, supporting team development and driving clinical improvements.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced ECC Vet, Emergency Vet or Senior Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys leadership and wants genuine influence over the development of an established service.

The Rota

40 hours per week, including a mixture of weekday/weekend nights and weekend day shifts, with shared bank holidays. There are no more than three consecutive nights, plus protected time for leadership responsibilities and meetings.
