Purosearch Ltd. is seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon for a friendly, RCVS-accredited small animal practice near Cardiff. The role blends consulting and surgery with a three-vet team and modern facilities, offering a strong salary and extensive wellbeing support.

The position is full-time (40 hours) with a 1-in-4 Saturday rota. It includes generous leave, CPD funding, visa/relocation support, and potential career progression within a supportive network.

Qualifications

• RCVS-registered Vet Surgeon required.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent patient and client care.
• Demonstrable leadership and coaching skills.
• Experience developing a progressive clinical culture.
• Understanding value of nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures.
• Provide outstanding client communication and patient updates.
• Uphold high standards of regulatory, operational, and clinical compliance.
• Prepare tailored treatment plans with clear cost estimates.
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members to enhance clinical skills.
• Manage clinical handovers and coordinate transfers for out-of-hours or advanced care.
