Job summary

IVC Evidensia is seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon for maternity cover in Leeds. You will provide clinical leadership across surgical, medical and emergency services, guiding the team to maintain high standards of patient and client care during a 12-month period.

The role requires a veterinary degree, RCVS registration, and proven leadership and governance experience, with a surgical bias preferred. Competitive salary with relocation support is on offer.

Qualifications

• RCVS-registered veterinary degree and eligibility to practice.
• Significant experience in small or mixed animal practice.
• Experience mentoring and coaching colleagues.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
• Experience contributing to clinical governance and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead surgical, medical and emergency departments.
• Provide clinical leadership and governance.
• Oversee complex cases and guide clinical decision-making.
