Job summary

PDSA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon in Gillingham to join a surgically focussed clinical team. You will lead and develop the Veterinary Surgeon team, guiding best practices and maintaining high clinical standards across the hospital.

You’ll work with a surgically biased caseload and apply evidence-based approaches to plan care, while mentoring colleagues and promoting professional growth within the team.

Qualifications

• Qualified veterinary surgeon with at least 3 years' experience.
• Experience leading a team or supervising clinical staff is desirable.
• Comfortable working with clients and colleagues in a busy hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Veterinary Surgeon team to maintain high clinical standards.
• Manage a surgically biased caseload and determine best treatment plans for each patient.

£5,000 Attendance Paymentafter 12 months of continuous service.

You’ll work with a surgically biased caseload, using a practical, evidence-based approach to find the best plan for each pet and owner. Alongside your clinical work, you’ll guide and develop the Veterinary Surgeon team, share your skills and help maintain clinical standards across the hospital.

This could suit an established lead vet or an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to develop their leadership skills. You’ll need to have been qualified for more than three years and be confident working with colleagues and clients.
