Job summary

Pets at Home Limited in Norwich Longwater Vets for Pets Practice is seeking an enthusiastic Head Receptionist to support the smooth running of the practice and deliver outstanding client service for pets and their families. Previous managerial and veterinary experience are essential.

The role is 22 hours per week with shifts 8.30am–7.30pm (Fridays 2pm–7.30pm); no weekends, with occasional sickness cover at the Sprowston branch.

Qualifications

• Previous managerial experience essential.
• Previous veterinary experience essential.
• Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues.
• Confident dealing with customer complaints and queries.
• Friendly, welcoming presence for clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Assist colleagues with non-clinical duties to support smooth running of the practice.
• Provide the best standard of patient care from the reception area.
• Be the friendly face for the client and their pets on arrival.
• Keep up-to-speed with practice services to offer guidance when needed.
• Maintain a calm, attentive approach and support team welfare.
