Job summary

PIE Recruitment seeks a talented Unity Developer in the UK to join a technology and creative studio focused on character-driven AI experiences. You will build and maintain high-quality C# code and Unity components to bring characters to life.

You will collaborate with designers, artists and other developers to craft mechanics, levels and systems, mentor junior developers, and optimize performance while staying current with Unity trends.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Unity development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Unity 3D and C#.
• Experience with game mechanics, scripting, and physics.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Experience optimizing game performance and memory usage.
• Familiarity with version control (PlasticSCM/GitHub).
• Solid math and algorithms knowledge for game development.
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
• Good communication and collaboration within a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, artists and other developers to create mechanics, levels and systems.
• Mentor junior developers.
• Create and maintain Unity components, scripts and plugins.
• Translate design requirements into technical design specifications.
• Write clean, efficient C# code for systems and mechanics.
• Optimize code and assets for performance and memory usage.
• Work with QA teams to ensure bug-free, high-quality products.
• Stay up-to-date with Unity trends and tools.
