Job summary

Evergreen Rural seeks an experienced Tree Safety Assessor and Forestry Consultant to lead the roll-out of tree safety surveys in the South. Based in Hurstpierpoint with regular travel, you will drive the PTI accreditation program and shape a new service offering within our growing rural land management consultancy.

Draft woodland management plans linked to Countryside Stewardship, mentor colleagues, and build a regular portfolio of survey work while expanding our ecology ambitions.

Qualifications

• Arboriculture knowledge and practical survey skills.
• Lantra PTI or equivalent accreditation.
• Experience in conducting tree safety surveys and risk assessments.
• Ability to mentor others and develop new services in a start-up.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tree safety surveys and risk assessments for landowners and estates across the South.
• Lead and develop the tree safety survey service and PTI accreditation.
• Build and maintain a regular portfolio of survey work.
• Advise on woodland management, Countryside Stewardship compliance.
• Produce clear survey reports and management recommendations.
• Maintain relationships within the rural land-owning community.
• Collaborate with the Evergreen Rural team to manage woodland regionally.
• Contribute ideas to shape a new service offer as the business grows.
