Job summary

The Wellington Hospital in London is seeking a Lead Theatre Practitioner – Liver to join our Liver and Complex Surgery team. This full‑time role (37.5 hours) is a temporary contract until September 2027, working Monday to Saturday on site.

You’ll lead theatre teams, coordinate activity, and drive performance across advanced liver and robotic procedures. With HCPC/NMC registration and substantial leadership and liver surgery experience, you’ll contribute to high standards of patient care within a

Qualifications

• Current HCPC or NMC registration.
• Extensive experience in liver surgery and complex surgical procedures.
• Experience working within a UK theatre setting across a range of surgical specialties.
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience supporting robotic surgery procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support theatre teams to deliver safe, effective and high quality patient care.
• Coordinate clinical activity within the theatre environment, ensuring excellent standards are maintained.
• Support and develop colleagues through clinical leadership, coaching and day to day supervision.
• Work collaboratively with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex liver and robotic surgical procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient experience, safety and outcomes.
