Job summary

Safran Engineering Services is seeking a Test & Means Engineer to plan, organise, and execute development and qualification tests on Safran Electrical & Power products. The role collaborates with validation, verification, and project teams to ensure product requirements are met through testing and analysis.

Available for a 12-month term as either a contractor or Fixed Term Contract, with a potential Temp to Perm.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
Experience with mechanical, electrical, environmental, or vibration testing.
Proficiency with data acquisition systems is desirable but not essential.
Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical test systems.
Strong organisational, planning, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Plan, organise, and perform development and qualification tests for Safran products.
Execute electrical, mechanical, environmental, and vibration tests using specialised equipment.
Produce high-quality technical reports and documentation to support tests.
Set up mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and electrical wiring.
Lead and coordinate test activities for SEP products.
Plan and prioritise test work and manage workloads for small teams.
Collaborate with project teams to meet schedules and standards.
Translate requirements into robust validation plans.
Define verification phases including resources and risk assessments.
Support development of environmental and vibration testing capabilities.
Troubleshoot test rigs and measurement systems; identify improvements.
