Tesco is seeking a Lead Technical Programme Manager – People Data at our Welwyn Garden City campus. You will guide end-to-end delivery of the People Data portfolio, aligning regulatory requirements and enterprise data standards with business outcomes.

The position will be based at our Campus in Welwyn Garden City
The purpose of the People Transformation programme is to earn the trust of our colleagues in a simple and helpful way. People Data sits at the heart of Tesco’s colleague strategy—enabling trusted, high-quality data to power decision‑making, regulatory reporting, and colleague experiences.
The landscape is complex, spanning multiple workstreams, dependencies on business data ownership, and evolving governance and platform capabilities. This role plays a key leadership position in ensuring delivery is coherent, governed, and aligned to business outcomes, so that Tesco can rely on People Data as a trusted foundation for regulatory compliance and strategic decision‑making.
This role is accountable for the end‑to‑end delivery, governance and integrity of the People Data portfolio, ensuring programmes are aligned to business priorities, regulatory requirements, and enterprise data standards.
You will operate across a complex, multi‑programme landscape (PDRP, Workforce dashboards, Compliance, Data Quality, and platform capabilities), bringing clarity, structure and pace to ambiguous and interdependent delivery challenges.
A key focus is driving clear data ownership, governance and accountability across business and technology, ensuring that data products are trusted, scalable, and audit‑ready.
