Lead Teacher of Psychology – Full-time/permanent

Teaches pay scale MPS/UPS (+ TLR 2A, currently £3,527 p.a.).

The start date for this position would be at the start of the summer term; an earlier start would be desirable.

Notre Dame High School, a vibrant and inclusive Catholic school within the St. Clare Catholic Multi Academy Trust, is seeking to appoint a skilled and passionate Lead Teacher of Psychology to join our dedicated teaching team. This role is central to shaping a dynamic and inspiring learning environment where psychological thinking is nurtured and celebrated.

About the Role

As Lead Teacher of Psychology, you will take responsibility for leading and developing the Psychology curriculum, as well as making a positive contribution to the wider Social Sciences department. You will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a deep enthusiasm for the subject, able to inspire students to explore the world through a psychological lens and foster their curiosity and critical thinking.

Working closely with colleagues in the Social Sciences department, you will monitor student progress, support academic achievement, and contribute to a culture of high expectations and inclusive learning. Your leadership will help ensure that Psychology continues to thrive as a subject that challenges, engages, and empowers our learners.
