A key engineering firm in the UK is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to guide design and delivery of structural works for major projects. The successful candidate will have a civil/structural engineering degree and must be working towards or have Chartered status. Responsibilities include managing design delivery and collaborating with key partners. amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. The Lightly Shielded Store 1 (LSS1) project will deliver additional storage for Intermediate Level Waste (ILW). It will be a new class of store for the lower end of ILW in terms of fissile mass, described as Contact Handleable ILW.
