Alecto Recruitment is recruiting a Lead Sprinkler Design Engineer (LPCB Qualified) in Surbiton. This permanentHybrid role offers £65,000-£70,000 basic, 25 days holiday plus benefits, with 1 day in the office and the rest from home/site.

You'll take design ownership and fast track to leading a team of design engineers as the business grows. Requirements include LPCB Basic Exam passed and experience delivering sprinkler designs across large and small works, with compliance to LPC Rules, NFPA, FM.

Qualifications

• LPCB Basic Exam passed (MUST HAVE)
• Experience in sprinkler design for large and small works
• Design responsibility through project duration
• Production of technical docs, drawings and models
• FHC calculations and on-site surveys

Lead Sprinkler Design Engineer - LPCB Qualified

Salary/Package: £65,000 - £70,000 basic + 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) + Benefits

Location: Surbiton

Position: Permanent (Hybrid)

Our client is a Level 3 LPCB approved sprinkler contractor actively looking to hire a lead sprinkler design engineer with a minimum of LPCB basic exam completed. As a privately owned company, the successful hire will be an integral part of the business as it continues to grow throughout 2026/27.

The role offers hybrid working with 1 day in the office and the rest working from home/site. The successful applicant will also be fast tracked to managing a team of design engineers, should this be a desired career progression.

• LPCB Basic Exam PASSED

Day to Day Duties

• Preparation of sprinkler system designs for a variety of applications (Large works, small works, LPC Rules, NFPA, FM)


• Design responsibility throughout the project duration


• Production of technical documentation, installation drawings and coordination models


• FHC calculations


• On-site surveys


• Compliance with the relevant design standards and project specifications
