Job summary

The Bank of England, in partnership with Inspire People, is recruiting experienced Lead Solution Architects to design and deliver complex, cloud-based solutions across its regulatory data services. Hybrid working from London or Leeds, salary up to £90,360 plus an 8% cash benefits allowance, 10-25% discretionary annual bonus and a non-contributory pension.

21-month FTC with a view to becoming permanent. As a Lead Solution Architect, you will take ownership of solutions from initial requirements

Qualifications

• Strong end-to-end Solution Architecture experience.
• Experience developing architectural artefacts (HLDs, blueprints, roadmaps).
• Proven governance experience with Design Authority/Architecture Review Boards.
• Experience designing integration architectures (APIs, cloud data pipelines).
• Experience with data and analytics platforms (e.g., Databricks).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture from requirements to design and delivery.
• Develop technology strategies, roadmaps and architectural artefacts.
• Design scalable, secure cloud-based solutions with APIs and data pipelines.
• Lead governance processes and secure approvals for designs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, security and suppliers to meet requirements.
• Evaluate options and provide recommendations aligned with strategic objectives.
