Job summary

Barclays Lead Engineer role is part of the US Corporate expansion, focusing on designing and delivering scalable software for the automated receivables product. You will drive technical direction, collaborate with product, design and other engineers, and mentor colleagues to maintain engineering excellence.

The position requires a strong Java/Spring backdrop, security‑minded coding, and a proven track record delivering robust financial software within cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java 11 or higher, Spring Boot, REST, API Security, JPA, Oracle.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines, messaging systems (Kafka/JMS/MQ), and Angular.
• Familiarity with Junit/Mockito and fintech domain knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and improve software for the automated receivables product.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead technical direction, code reviews and architecture decisions.
