Job summary

Searchability® is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to own end-to-end full stack delivery across web, mobile, and backend systems. You will work hands-on with a small team, guiding architecture and engineering decisions to shape product direction.

You will mentor developers, lead sprint planning, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure scalable, maintainable software that aligns with business goals. The role combines leadership with technical delivery in a hybrid on-site/offsite pattern.

Qualifications

• Ownership of end-to-end full-stack delivery across web, mobile, and backend systems.
• Strong proficiency with .NET stack (C#, Blazor, REST APIs) and AWS.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Due to continued growth, we’re recruiting for a Lead Software Engineer to join an established technology-driven organisation based in Newark-on-Trent. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll play a key part in shaping products, mentoring developers, and influencing the technical direction of the business.

THE LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER ROLE:

You’ll take ownership of full stack software delivery across web, mobile, and backend systems, working closely with a team of 3 developers while remaining hands-on technically.

This role combines software engineering leadership with architecture, mentoring, sprint planning, and stakeholder collaboration. You’ll help shape how the team builds software whilst ensuring delivery remains scalable, maintainable, and commercially focused.

You’ll work across modern .NET applications, Blazor front ends, REST APIs, AWS infrastructure, and .NET MAUI mobile applications - contributing from concept through to deployment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Strong commercial experience with C# / .NET
