Job summary

Intec Select Ltd. is seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, and improve secure, user‑centred digital services within a large‑scale Agile environment.

The role is a 12‑month contract with a hybrid pattern (2 days onsite) across London, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff or the Northeast (Darlington). Up to £750 per day inside IR35, offering challenging technical delivery in a regulated public sector context.

Qualifications

• 5+ years software engineering experience.
• SC clearance is essential.
• Public sector or regulated environments desirable.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Python and Django
• Proven capability in end-to-end system design and architecture
• Strong experience working in Agile, multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to lead technical delivery within complex environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• 5+ years experience in software engineering
• Background in public sector or regulated environments is desirable
• SC clearance is essential
