We're recruiting for a Microsoft Dynamics Lead Software Developer to join our team! This is a permanent role, working 37 hours a week with a minimum of 20% of this to be office based, with flexibility to attend key events and workshops as required. The role can be contractually based out of our Portsmouth or Basingstoke office, with travel expected to all VIVID offices.

Role Overview

Working within our team alongside key partners and Microsoft, this role is key to the success of this transformation.

You’ll be an advocate for change and challenge ideas and processes for the better based on experience. You will have experience of development as part of the entire development lifecycle from code to test to deployment and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop MS 365 Power Applications within Dynamics CE environments (Model Driven, Canvas, Plugins, JavaScript, Cloud Flows and Workflows).
  • Leverage knowledge of Omnichannel and Field Service concepts.
  • Build unit tests, write and deliver standard / automated tests, including penetration / performance testing.
  • Integrate with Azure services (Queuing technologies, Azure Functions, Azure App Services or Logic Apps).
  • Develop Model View Controller based applications.
  • Use Azure DevOps for deployment via ADO pipelines and write YAML.
  • Lead a development team, manage junior staff, support and nurture skill growth.
  • Participate in a fast‑moving agile team (daily stand‑ups, sprint retros, sprint planning and refinement).
  • Work on MS D365 projects, collaborating with other professional disciplines.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience developing within Microsoft Dynamics CE and MS 365 Power Apps.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure integration, Azure DevOps and YAML.
  • Experience in unit testing, automated testing, penetration and performance testing.
  • Leadership experience managing junior developers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work productively in a team environment.
