Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) is seeking a senior leader to head the Digital Delivery Software Development and Quality Assurance capability. You will provide technical leadership, direction, and inspiration to a team of software developers and software quality assurance engineers, delivering value to digital services.

You will assist the principal developer with team organisation, motivation, and assessment, including recruitment, development, and performance management.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cross-functional software teams.
• Strong Scrum/Agile experience.
• Ability to set technical strategy and policy.
• Experience in recruitment, development and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Act as Technical Lead for high-value initiatives driving development and test standards.
• Define department technical development and test strategy.
• Drive technical debt reduction and continual software improvement.
• Coordinate with Delivery Leads and management to ensure skilled expertise.
• Support teams in making technical recommendations based on analysis.
