We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Lead Social Worker join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Wheaton Ashton, Stafford. Working as part of a dedicated and supportive Multidisciplinary Team, you will be the safeguarding lead for the hospital and will provide professional social work direction and support ensuring the individual needs of our young people are met and taking the lead in the development of aftercare placements, providing parents, carers and service agencies with information regarding these placements.

What you'll be doing:
  • Compiling comprehensive social history reports for all our young people including in the assessment process
  • Ensuring that our young people are aware of their rights to Mental Health Review Tribunals (MHRTs) and make appropriate arrangements for their legal representation
  • Making recommendations on the practice and development of social work within the unit to the Unit General Manager
  • Ensuring that reports are provided by Social Workers representing the purchasing authority and are made available to MHRTs
