Job summary

Morris & Spottiswood is looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead construction and fit-out projects across the UK. You will coordinate day-to-day site activity, manage subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered safely, on time and within budget.

In this hands-on role you will read drawings and specifications, monitor progress using project programmes, and drive site-level health and safety and quality standards. Travel to sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in Site Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of construction/fit-out delivery.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors, trades and program.
• Understanding of health & safety standards and site compliance.
• Ability to read programmes, drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations safely and to quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors across groundworks, cladding, steel, M&E, painting.
• Support planning, sequencing and programme management to milestones.
• Use project programs, including Asta, to monitor progress.
• Lead proactive health and safety management and site procedures.
• Monitor progress against budgets and programme.
• Record and escalate variations, risks and delays.
• Attend client progress meetings and provide updates.
• Promote safety, quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
