Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Senior Engineer for a permanent role in Oxford. You will lead site engineering across earthworks, piling, groundworks, steel-framed buildings and cladding, with responsibility for setting out, QA and RAMS.

You will manage Site Engineers, coordinate with cross-functional teams and subcontractors, and drive delivery to programme while maintaining SHEQ standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' site engineering experience.
• Strong groundworks and steel-framed buildings experience.
• Setting-out experience on large contracts.
• SMSTS certification and a valid driving licence.
• Experience on major projects incl. slipform/jumpform advantageous.
• First Aid training and Fieldview/4P Viewpoint beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage site engineering function and oversee Site Engineers.
• Ensure accurate setting out and dimensional control.
• Review drawings, specs and contract information.
• Coordinate external surveys as required.
• Support planning and delivery of temporary works.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ, RAMS and project requirements.
• Produce and implement ITPs.
• Maintain quality records and compliance.
• Provide engineering input into programmes and site logistics.
• Monitor progress and report against programme.
• Chair subcontractor progress meetings.
• Produce weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Identify and communicate risks and changes to programme.
• Undertaking PDRs and support training of Site Engineers.
