Job summary

Deploy Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Lead Signalling Design Engineer to take responsibility for managing design activities and ensuring the safe, timely implementation of signalling schemes.

The role requires leading the design team, ensuring designs are constructible, meet customer requirements, and comply with industry specifications while keeping project timescales and budgets on track.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, degree or equivalent) with track record in railway signalling design.
• IRSE Signalling Principles Designer and Verifier Licence.
• High level of proficiency in signalling scheme design, LAP, specifications, SSI wiring, fringe designs etc.

Responsibilities

• Manage signalling design plans, estimates and drawings.
• Ensure designs are constructible and safe, in line with customer requirements and industry specs.
• Oversee project timescales and budget adherence.
• Check and review designs produced.
• Provide guidance and support to the design team.
