Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a Computer or related science subject or equivalent proven experience.
• Experience as a senior technician in a server infrastructure environment, ideally in an Acute NHS or equivalent environment.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support the Server Infrastructure Manager in the delivery of IT support services.
• Investigate complex IT issues escalated to the Service Desk.
• Support the development and review of IT Disaster Recovery Plans.
• Ensure infrastructure teams meet issue resolution targets.

Skills

Expert Knowledge in multiple operating systems

Knowledge of SQL Database Administration

VMware and vCentre Proficiency

SAN, Fibre Channel and iSCSI expertise

Proficiency in Backup and Disaster Recovery management

Education

Computer or related science degree or equivalent proven experience

IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Level

Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MSCE)

VMware Certified Professional 6.5 and above
