We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Lead Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Consulting Geotechnical Practice based in UK, We have offices across Manchester, Birmingham, York, Cardiff, Motherwell, Edinburgh and Perth.
The successful candidate will play an integral role within the geotechnical team responsible for delivering geotechnical projects across the UK and Ireland. The team delivers a range of local, national and international projects for clients including Network Rail, National Highways, Local Governments, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defence and Welsh Government.
Our geotechnical team works closely with all our Regional Design Hub multidisciplinary teams encapsulating Rail Engineering, Highway Engineering, Bridge/Structural Engineering, Geo-Environmental Engineering and Traffic Engineering/Transport Planning. Via these multidisciplinary teams and utilising the businesses within the wider Amey Group such as Amey Transport Infrastructure, Amey Consulting are able to deliver projects from feasibility right through to post construction close out. This unique ecosystem offers our clients a one-stop shop and offers our staff the opportunity to grow and develop in a knowledge-rich environment, with specialists who are eager to assist and mentor their development.
Our Geotechnical Practice has a total of 70 geotechnical and Geo-Environmental practitioners, comprising experienced Geotechnical Engineers, Engineering Geologists and Geo-Environmental Consultants, which play a pivotal role on all our major and minor civil/structural engineering schemes.
In addition, the Geotechnical Practice provides input into Contract Documents and Health and Safety Documents for Tendering Construction Packages, while offering design support to multi-discipline site teams during construction works on all geotechnical elements.
Our Geotechnical Engineers play an important part within the highways and rail sectors working in dynamic, multidisciplinary teams to deliver our client’s projects. As a Lead Senior Engineer you will provide effective support and assistance to your Regional Geotechnical Lead on a variety of schemes whilst taking the lead on projects and mentoring junior engineers.
