You will lead scrutiny committees, conduct research, prepare reports, and provide governance advice to councillors and senior officers, with leadership responsibilities within the Democratic Services Senior Management Team.

Responsibilities

• Managing the team that supports the scrutiny/select committees.
• Leading scrutiny reviews and inquiries.
• Conducting research, gathering evidence, and preparing reports and briefing papers.
• Providing procedural and governance advice to councillors and senior officers.
• Coordinating task groups linked to select committees.
• Contributing to member and officer training.
• Providing leadership as part of the Democratic Services Senior Management Team.
