Job summary

The Wellington Hospital in London is seeking a Lead Theatre Practitioner to join the Liver and Complex Surgery team. You will lead theatre teams, coordinate clinical activity, and drive high standards of patient care within a busy theatre environment.

As a leader in complex liver and robotic procedures, you’ll have opportunities to develop your skills across 11 theatres and advanced surgical technology, contributing to outstanding patient outcomes and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current HCPC or NMC registration is required.
• Extensive experience in liver surgery and complex procedures.
• Experience working in a UK theatre setting across multiple specialties.
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience supporting robotic surgery procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support theatre teams to deliver safe, effective and high quality patient care.
• Coordinate clinical activity within the theatre environment, ensuring excellent standards are maintained.
• Support and develop colleagues through clinical leadership, coaching and day-to-day supervision.
• Work with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex liver and robotic procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient experience, safety and outcomes.

Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Monday to Saturday

We’re looking for a Lead Theatre Practitioner to join our Liver and Complex Surgery team at The Wellington Hospital. As a Lead Theatre Practitioner within our liver and complex surgery service, you’ll be part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team delivering care for some of the most complex surgical patients in the independent sector. Working within our busy theatre environment, you’ll play a key role in supporting clinical excellence, driving high standards of patient care and providing leadership to colleagues. This is an opportunity to further develop your expertise in advanced surgical procedures, including robotic surgery, while working alongside experienced clinicians committed to continuous learning, innovation and outstanding patient outcomes.
