Job summary
UK Fusion Energy Ltd (UKFE) is seeking an experienced project leader to deliver a diverse portfolio of Science & Technology projects within the STEP programme at West Burton, Nottinghamshire. You will collaborate with Design Authority, Engineering Delivery Teams and governance boards to drive delivery from concept through to execution.
The role requires managing uncertainty, maintaining clear performance baselines, and driving continuous improvement across complex, regulated environments.
Qualifications
- Significant experience leading multi-£m projects in technical, highly regulated environments.
- Experience delivering development phases and evolving design to meet programme goals.
- Proven governance, schedule, cost, risk and stakeholder management expertise.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the approved portfolio of Science & Technology projects.
- Develop a pipeline of concepts, research opportunities and risk-reduction initiatives.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into clearly defined projects, business cases and delivery plans.
- Provide leadership to project teams with governance, planning, and budgeting.
