Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems in the United Kingdom seeks a Principal Safety Engineer to execute the Safety Management Programme, addressing Functional and Non-Functional Safety aspects. The role requires Chartered Engineer level experience and leadership across military land, sea and air environments.

The successful candidate will create and manage Safety Plans and Safety & Environmental Cases, analyse designs to identify hazards, and formulate specific safety requirements in line with GDUK

Qualifications

• Experience in Safety Engineering for large scale systems of systems.
• Chartered Engineer status is highly desirable.
• Experience delivering Safety and Environmental programmes.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage Safety Plans and Safety & Environmental Cases per GDUK processes.
• Analyze software and hardware designs to identify hazards and formulate safety requirements.
• Input into the safety capability and provide strategic safety leadership across projects.
