Electus Recruitment Solutions is leading a fresh robotics project in the UK, seeking a software architect to define end-to-end software architecture for advanced vehicle and robotic systems. The role emphasises safety-critical design, real-time development, and a strong CI/CD culture.

You will work in a hybrid Newcastle setup, collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed software into hardware while ensuring robust architecture for safety-critical components and vision/sensor integration.

Qualifications

• Degree in software engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Proficient in Linux and real-time development using C/C++ or Python.
• Experience with safety-critical architectures is required or demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop end-to-end software architecture for robotics systems.
• Establish CI/CD processes for safety-critical software.
• Lead architecture for computer vision, sensor integration and real-time simulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed software into hardware.
