Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset invites applications for a Lead SACT Nurse to provide expert clinical and professional leadership across UHD and with partner organisations. You will join the Cancer Care team, working with oncology, haematology, pharmacy and the wider MDT to deliver safe, effective SACT services with a focus on education and research.

Qualifications

• Professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
• Qualified administration of SACT.
• Advanced communication skills.
• Masters degree in relevant topic.
• Non-medical prescriber.
• Advanced physical assessment and history taking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical and professional leadership for SACT across UHD.
• Lead service development, governance and workforce planning.
• Collaborate with Cancer Care leadership, oncology/haematology, pharmacy and the MDT.
• Support education, research and quality improvement.
• Ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based and patient-centred SACT services.
