Job summary

Platform Recruitment in Oxford is seeking a Senior AIT RF Communications Engineer to lead a multidisciplinary team on complex satellite programmes. You will oversee integration and test campaigns, delivering RF payloads from integration through to environmental qualification and acceptance.

We are looking for an experienced RF/AIT engineer with a strong satellite communications background and hands-on RF test equipment experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related discipline.
5+ years' experience in RF payloads, satellite communications, aerospace, defence or telecommunications.
Proven experience leading or supporting complex integration and test campaigns.
Strong understanding of RF communication systems and satellite architectures.
Hands-on experience with RF test equipment.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of multidisciplinary AIT engineers throughout full integration and test campaigns.
Perform payload integration activities and RF payload verification and testing.
Carry out functional testing, performance verification and end-to-end payload testing.
Support link budget validation, RF chain characterisation, redundancy testing and interface verification.
Develop test scripts, monitoring tools and automated test solutions.
Produce and maintain AIT documentation, including integration procedures, test procedures, test reports, verification reports, data packs and configuration documentation.
Raise, manage and support non-conformances through the review process.
