Qualifications

• A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Experience supervising residential childcare staff.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage a team of Residential Support Workers.
• Ensure the home operates in compliance with legislation, policies and procedures.
• Promote a child-centred approach focusing on welfare, development and safety.
• Support children in achieving personal goals and life skills.
• Oversee planning and delivery of individual care plans.
• Manage staff rotas and maintain adequate staffing levels.
• Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals and training for the team.
• Handle safeguarding concerns and record/report incidents.
• Build positive relationships with external agencies, families and the community.
