Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Deputy Residential Manager for a permanent opportunity working full time in Southwest London. Responsible for managing and supervising staff to ensure high standards of care, the ideal candidate will have substantial experience in a senior role within a Children’s Home and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare. The position offers a competitive salary up to £56,000 per annum, alongside benefits like pension and ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • Substantial experience in a senior role within a Children’s Home, including Senior/Keyworker/Practitioner.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 & the quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and challenge staff.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise staff, ensuring performance management and clear guidance.
  • Monitor staff practice for alignment with trauma-informed principles.
  • Lead crisis responses and model trauma-informed support strategies.
  • Chair statutory meetings to ensure accurate information sharing.
  • Develop and maintain personal care plans for young people.
