Job summary

The God and the Machine project at the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion, University of Oxford, seeks a postdoctoral-level researcher to handle technical aspects of experimental work with large language models and AI tools.

You will contribute to Workstream 1 and support Workstream 2 as a technical expert, applying Python and ML frameworks to deploy and test local models, interpret results, and advance the theology of AI.

Qualifications

• PhD/DPhil in CS, ML or a closely related field.
• Experience with large language models and deploying/experimenting with local models.
• Proficiency in Python and relevant ML frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead experimental work with large language models and AI tools for the project.
• Support Workstream 1 as a technical expert and contribute to Workstream 2.
• Apply Python and ML frameworks to deploy and test local models and interpret results.
