Job summary

Mavern House Limited in Melksham is seeking an experienced registered nurse (RGN/RMN) to lead and support our care team at Mavern House Nursing Home. This 24 hours/week role rotates days and nights with paid breaks and ongoing training.

You’ll need valid NMC registration and at least 1 year of RN experience, plus a solid understanding of CQC standards. You’ll inspire, communicate effectively, and contribute to high-quality care for residents including those living with dementia.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC Registration as a Nurse.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a similar setting.
• Strong understanding of CQC standards/legislation.
• Flexible rota and leadership capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality nursing care to residents.
• Lead and support the care team in daily activities.
• Conduct clinical assessments and plan/monitor care.
• Promote residents' rights and preferences, including dementia care.
• Liaise with GPs and care professionals for coordinated care.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families and staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and use IT systems.
• Apply current dementia knowledge to practice.
