PRACTICE PROFILE
Market Street Health Group issituated in Newham, one of the poorer areas of London. As a result, our patients tend tohave more health needs and often make more visits to see their doctor than theaverage. We have a higher than average representation of the under 16s and theelderly. Newham is a multiracial areawith 50% of the population being from diverse ethnic backgrounds. As a practice we are one of the highest usersof the local advocacy service.
Newham has over 60practices. We are one of the largerpractices in Newham with over 12 thousand patients, 5 GPs,1 Salaried GP, 1 doctors in training, 3 Clinical Pharmacists. A nursing team of3 including 1 Senior Practice Nurse and 2 Health Care Assistants. We have a health visitor and district nurseteam, a midwife attached to thepractice.
The clinical team is supportedby the Practice Manager, a team of 8 Receptionists, 3 Secretaries managed bya Senior Secretary, a Medical Records Clerk, 2 Administrators and a FacilitiesManager. We also have admin apprentices.
