Job summary

Tarmac is seeking a Plant Supervisor - Readymix for our Readymix RMX team at the Taffs Well Concrete Plant near Cardiff. The role is a DAYS position with overtime to meet production needs.

You will manage RMX operations, lead a team, and ensure safety and quality in concrete production to meet customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have plant operations experience, preferably in readymix or aggregates, with knowledge of production processes and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience of supervising RMX or a similar heavy industry processes.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental policies and risk assessments.
• Ability to implement site and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise RMX plant operations on a daily basis.
• Deliver toolbox talks to contractors and staff.
• Manage production costs, stock control and quality of concrete.
• Drive KPI-based performance improvements.
• Ensure plant compliance with policies and safety standards.
• Oversee budgeted costs for the plant under responsibility.
