Job summary

Hawkes Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the commercial performance on specialist interior projects across London. Based in Central London, you will manage procurement, valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts, working closely with operations and clients to protect margins.

The role requires a specialist subcontracting background with experience in flooring, fit-out, joinery, drylining, interiors, tiling or stone.

Qualifications

• Experienced Quantity Surveyor with specialist contractor background.
• Experience in flooring, fit-out, joinery, drylining, interiors, tiling or stone.
• Sound understanding of specialist packages and ability to manage their commercial delivery from procurement through to final account.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for multiple live projects.
• Procure subcontract packages and manage supplier enquiries.
• Prepare and submit applications for payment and valuations.
• Identify, price and negotiate variations.
• Produce accurate cost reports and forecasts.
• Monitor expenditure, risks and project margins.
• Manage subcontractor accounts and lead client discussions.
• Prepare, negotiate and agree final accounts.
