Job summary

FuturLab, an award-winning game studio behind PowerWash Simulator and other titles, is hiring a Lead QA to join the PowerWash Simulator 2 team in Brighton. You will be the primary QA contact, driving quality improvements across disciplines and coordinating across platforms and branches.

The role requires 2+ years leading QA teams and 5+ years in QA, with strong communication and knowledge of first-party certification requirements for Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with LiveOps to test content drops efficiently.
• Provide updates on overall product health, critical bugs, delivery risks and live user experience risks.
• Supervise the QA team and train where required.
• Identify opportunities for QA to flag and mitigate risk early.
• Support the QA Manager in maintaining QA processes and standards.

We’re FuturLab, the award-winning game studio behind PowerWash Simulator, the Velocity series, Peaky Blinders Mastermind, and many more awesome games.

We’re looking for a Lead QA to join the PowerWash Simulator 2 team!

A successful candidate will be highly organized, proactive and ensure that both internal and external quality teams are appropriately assigned. You will be representing the department as the primary QA contact for the project, driving project quality improvements through inter-disciplinary processes and keeping core stakeholders updated on the health of the project.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate the execution of our daily QA strategy across 6 platforms and multiple branches with aligned submission and release cycles
• Work closely with other discipline leads to understand where QA can help to improve their pipelines
• Work closely with the LiveOps team to ensure that content drops are tested efficiently
• Provide clear updates on overall product health, critical bugs, delivery risks and risks to live user experience
• Supervise the project’s QA team and train, where required
• Identify opportunities for QA to flag and mitigate risk as early as possible
• Support the QA Manager in maintaining quality assurance processes and standards
• 2+ years in lead or management QA positions

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with different types of stakeholders
• A strong understanding of Microsoft, Sony & Nintendo first party certification requirements

Desirable:

• At least one title supported from pre-production to post-launch support
• Familiarity with the PowerWash Simulator franchise
• Experience with live service video games
• Experience with QA automation
• Experience with programming or scripting languages
