As a Lead QA Analyst you will own the test strategy for game features within one of our cross‑discipline pods. You will analyse what needs to be tested, write and run tests, log bugs, and report your work to the team. You’ll be an aspirational role model for other QA members, driving upstream quality practices to detect bugs early and prevent them from occurring.

What You’ll Do

• Own the end‑to‑end test strategy for the largest and most complex features independently with limited supervision.
• Directly perform all parts of the fundamental test process: test planning, test analysis, test design, test execution, and reporting.
• Inspect designs, concepts, wireframes, and code to analyse test requirements and risks for both tech‑driven and design‑driven features.
• Review test plans created by other QA team members.
• Use a range of public and internal tools to perform grey‑box testing.
• Balance priorities of planned feature work with reactive live game issues and events.
• Identify problems with designs, schedules, and plans to prevent bugs before they are written into code.
• Communicate test details and risks to stakeholders in clear, digestible language.
• Identify and present opportunities for new process improvements, tools, and techniques to the wider team.

What You Bring

• 6 years of experience in game testing.
• Proven experience working within a game studio as part of a cross‑discipline embedded QA team.
• Proficiency in mobile device testing with an understanding of the bug patterns and techniques unique to the platform.
• Strong experience testing games‑as‑a‑service projects using remote data tools, balancing feature work against reactive live issues.
• Strong emotional intelligence with a focus on self‑awareness, self‑evaluation, and empathy for other functions’ goals and perspectives.
• Experience testing projects built with Unity, with demonstrable Unity development skills and editor knowledge.
• Experience with technical areas and tooling for mobile (network tools, performance tools, analytics tools, API test tooling, automation frameworks, platform tools, storefront tools).
• Familiarity with source control (Git) and branching strategies and how they influence test activities.
• An ISTQB Foundation certificate or equivalent.

Bonus

• Demonstrable examples of personal game projects built in Unity with C#.
• ISTQB advanced or specialist level certificates or equivalents.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Game Design, or a related field.
