Job summary

A leading mental health charity for veterans is looking for a part-time Consultant Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric leadership at the Belfast Hub. The role involves delivering senior clinical expertise to assess and treat veterans with mental health issues. This position offers flexible remote working options and the chance to impact veterans' lives positively. Ideal candidates must have GMC registration and relevant qualifications in psychiatry. Applicants will undergo an Access NI check.

Qualifications

  • Registered Medical Practitioner with valid GMC registration.
  • Post Graduate higher training in Psychological Trauma.
  • Experience of working within a recovery focus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric leadership to the Northern Ireland Hub.
  • Assess, diagnose and recommend treatment for veterans.
  • Contribute to clinical leadership within the service.

Skills

Expertise in EMDR treatment
Experience in treatment of veterans' mental health
Clinical management of personality disorders
Teaching skills
Evidence of clinical research
Excellent knowledge of risk management
Ability to lead interdisciplinary team

Education

Registered Medical Practitioner with GMC
MRCPsych or FRCPsych or equivalent
Post Graduate Higher degrees in Psychological Trauma
CCST register in General Adult Psychiatry
