We anticipate paying a salary of £57,600 - £72,000

We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Lead Project Planner, to be involved in industry‑leading, cutting‑edge design project for a new type of power station.

What you will do
  • The Lead Planner is responsible for overseeing the planning team, ensuring that schedules are realistic, achievable, and aligned with business objectives. This role involves leading a team of planners, coordinating with cross‑functional departments, and providing strategic insights to support decision‑making and project delivery.
  • They will oversee a team that will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing detailed project schedules using planning tools such as Primavera P6. They will lead planning meetings and workshops with the planning team and other stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment on project timelines.
  • They will monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and propose effective mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Regular reporting will be a key part of Lead Planner role, including the preparation of dashboards and updates for senior management that highlight key milestones, schedule variances, and forecasts.
  • They will ensure that planning standards, procedures, and best practices are consistently applied across all projects. In addition, they will mentor and support junior planners, providing guidance and training to help them grow professionally.
  • They will also support resource planning and allocation to optimise efficiency and productivity across projects.

We anticipate paying a salary of between £57,600 - £72,000 DOE plus:

  • Bonus – Performance related target opportunity 12.5%
  • Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package
  • Pension – 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
  • Holidays – 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.
