Job summary

GxPeople Global partners with a high-growth UK medical device company to lead a hands-on Project Manager role for core product development. You will coordinate engineering, clinical, regulatory and supply chain work streams, owning the Integrated Development Plan and risk management processes to drive on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of project management experience within medical device development.
• Track record delivering Class II/III devices through regulatory submission.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 13485, design controls, and FDA 510(k)/CE-mark pathways.
• Mastery of planning tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) across hardware, software, and system work streams.
• Translate milestones into detailed work plans, critical path analyses, and resourcing strategies.
• Proactively manage risks, drive resolutions, and report status to executive leadership.
• Maintain the Design History File (DHF) timeline to support the planned regulatory pathway.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts across engineering, clinical affairs, regulatory, quality, and supply chain.
• Manage third-party development partners and contract suppliers to timelines and deliverables.
• Oversee budget tracking, cost forecasting, and onboarding of contract manufacturers as needed.
• Ensure development activities align with ISO 13485, FDA 510(k), and MDR requirements.
