Job Title: Lead Production Technician

Location: Oxford

Salary: £35,000 per annum

This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced motion‑capture and tracking technology used across entertainment, engineering, and scientific research. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Lead Production Technician oversees the production build process combining hands‑on assembly and testing with team leadership and workflow coordination.

Key responsibilities
  • Supervise Assemblers and delegate tasks to meet productivity and quality targets.
  • Convert build plans into Manufacturing Orders and manage them through to completion.
  • Assemble, program, test and align electro‑mechanical units.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to component level.
  • Oversee kitting and ensure accurate ERP stock transactions.
  • Support stock control, organisation and stock take.
  • Use correct documentation and maintain build accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design and Production teams on improvements and prototypes.
  • Liaise with test engineers on order progression and RMAs.
  • Maintain high‑quality workmanship and safe working practices.
  • Contribute to quality control, waste reduction and continuous improvement.
  • Support training activities and flexible working within the team.
