Job description

# Lead Product DesignerEucalyptus, London, UKHealthcare## Why this work mattersEucalyptus is a digital healthcare company that operates telehealth brands addressing chronic conditions, weight management, and reproductive health, improving patient access to clinical care.View the full listing and apply →Listed 24 Oct 2026Applications are handled by Eucalyptus, not by Hard Problems.## About EucalyptusEucalyptus is a consumer digital healthcare platform supporting millions of patients across the US, UK, Australia, Germany, Japan, Spain and Canada. It operates a growing family of digital health clinics (Pilot, Kin, Software) covering men's health, fertility and skincare, and joined Hims & Hers to scale its mission of delivering personalised, high-quality care that the traditional healthcare system cannot support. Its goal for the next three years is to support one million patients globally to live better for longer.### The roleThis Lead Product Designer role sits within the UK team, based at the Old Street office in London on a hybrid basis (three days in office, two days from home). You would own a defined problem area across connected surfaces rather than a queue of screens, working end to end from definition through to delivery. The role requires someone who can move commercial metrics, design for a regulated market, and raise the quality of the design team around them.### What you would do* Own a problem area from definition to delivery, driving the work without waiting for a spec.* Research, design, write, test, measure and iterate on your surface, covering activation, conversion through regulated intake, retention and adherence.* Set up A/B tests and read results honestly to validate decisions.* Write UX copy that meets both craft and compliance standards in a regulated healthcare market.* Contribute to the design system so that others can build on your work.* Give sharp critique and help junior designers improve without being asked.* Prototype ideas in tools such as Claude Code and Cursor to test in real code, not just mock-ups.* Work across product, engineering and clinical teams, taking feedback and using it to improve the work.### What they are looking for* Typically eight or more years in product design, with a track record of owning a domain and building systems others depend on.* Strong visual craft: typography, spacing, colour, motion and micro-interactions used with intent.* Ability to shape the problem using research, data and input from others, not just produce screens.* Inclusive design practice: you design accessibly by judgement, not just by checklist.* Systems thinking across surfaces, from mobile to AI-native interfaces.* Commercial and product sense: you know which metric you are moving and why, and you can show before-and-after evidence of impact.* Clear, specific communication about decisions made and decisions not made.* LLMs already embedded in your workflow, with prototyping in tools like Claude Code and Cursor.* A portfolio showing problem-solving that moved a commercial outcome, evidence of craft, design system contributions, and AI in your process. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.### Working arrangementsThe role is based in Eucalyptus's Old Street office in London. The working policy is three days per week in the office and two days from home. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.### Pay and benefits* Employee options (equity stake in the business).* Annual development budget plus three days of professional development leave.* Private health insurance through Vitality, or a monthly wellness allowance as an alternative.* 25 days of holiday plus enhanced parental leave.* Option to work from anywhere for three weeks per year.* Regular office socials, clubs, sport and seasonal events.## DetailsLocation: London, UKOn-site or remote: Hybrid (London)Salary: n/aSector: HealthcareRole: Product designSeniority: StaffOrganisation: For-profitThis job is listed on the Hard Problems job board, but details come from the employer’s own listing and may have changed — always check the original posting.
