About Swap

Swap is a leading software provider dedicated to empowering e-commerce brands with innovative, data-driven solutions. Our cutting-edge platform helps online retailers optimise their operations, enhance customer experiences, and drive growth. We are committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment where creativity and innovation thrive.

About this role

Design at Swap is about balancing curiosity and a genuine love for innovation with real care for detail and craft.

We’re a growing team with a culture rooted in openness, trust and support. We welcome change, we experiment often, and we learn together. Every opportunity is a chance to push ourselves and the experience forward.

At Swap, we truly value the role of Product Design in shaping the future of AI and e-commerce. Design is supported across the business and treated as an equal partner in how we build technology.

We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to define the next chapter of our agentic platform. You’ll create AI native experiences that don’t exist today, predictive, assistive and autonomous workflows that guide users, take action on their behalf and remove complexity. There are no patterns to follow and nothing to copy. This is a new frontier, and you’ll have the freedom to make your mark.

This role will grow as big as you want it to. Your ambition and hunger will be the only limit.

If you’re a maker at heart, always exploring new ideas and excited by the future of e-commerce and shopping experiences, this could be the perfect place for you.

What you’ll be doing
  • Working end-to-end across the entire Product Development lifecycle, from research and discovery to deep exploration, high-fidelity design and continuous iteration.
  • Making AI feel human by translating complexity into clarity and designing with genuine empathy, warmth, and emotional intelligence.
  • Combining A/B testing, behavioral psychology, and quantitative analysis to validate design hypotheses and reveal what genuinely moves the needle.
  • Partnering closely with Product, Engineering and Marketing to uncover opportunities, shape roadmaps and ensure thoughtful, high-quality implementation.
  • Juggling rapid experimentation with scalable, long-term solutions and knowing when to move fast and when to dig deeper, when to push and when to pull.
  • Contributing to the evolution of our Product Design processes and ways of working, helping to build a culture that’s positive, inclusive, accountable, and fun!
What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience solving complex problems in fast-paced, multi-product environments.
  • A deep interest in AI and a genuine desire to invent new UX patterns that don’t exist yet.
  • A track record of driving value and measuring the impact of design beyond just shipping features.
  • Experience mentoring designers while still loving hands‑on craft.
  • Strong expertise with Figma and Design Systems, and a passion for creating functional, beautiful and coherent experiences.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across cross‑functional teams.
  • The ability to make clear, thoughtful product and design decisions in ambiguous or complex problem spaces.
  • Strong visual design skills with a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to producing polished, high‑quality work.
  • A creative mindset with the confidence to explore unconventional ideas and push boundaries when solving difficult problems.
  • Stock options in a high‑growth startup
  • Private Health insurance
  • Pension
