Job summary

ASDA is recruiting a Lead Procurement Manager - Technology to own and optimise the technology spend portfolio across software, cloud, infrastructure and services.

You will lead complex sourcing initiatives, negotiate with strategic suppliers, and partner with senior stakeholders to deliver tangible cost savings and value for one of the UK's best known retailers. Hybrid working model in Leeds with a clear path for progression.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Category Management.
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract management expertise.
• Experience managing complex, high-value supplier relationships.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders within large organisations.
• Experience in technology procurement is highly desirable.

As Senior Procurement Category Lead - Technology, you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies across a significant technology spend portfolio spanning infrastructure, software, digital, cloud and technology services.

You'll lead some of the organisation's most complex and commercially significant sourcing initiatives, ensuring ASDA maximises value from supplier relationships whilst supporting innovation, operational resilience and long‑term technology transformation.

This role offers significant visibility across the business and the opportunity to work on major strategic programmes that directly impact customer experience, operational performance and business growth.

Essential Experience

Significant experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Category Management.

Strong commercial negotiation and contract management expertise.

Experience managing complex, high‑value supplier relationships.

Experience influencing senior stakeholders within large organisations.

Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability.

Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced transformation environment.

Highly Desirable Experience

• Technology Procurement experience.
• Software and SaaS procurement.
