Job summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Advanced Practise Therapeutic Radiographer – Pre-Treatment to join its pre-treatment team. Qualifications

BSc in therapeutic radiography or equivalent formal qualification.
Health Profession Council (HPC) registration as a therapy radiographer.
Participation in audit/clinical governance.
MSc or Master's level equivalent experience in radiotherapy pre-treatment.

Responsibilities

Deliver complex radiotherapy procedures to a wide range of benign and malignant conditions with high accuracy.
Work autonomously within legal, ethical and professional frameworks; provide expert advice to the MDT.
Lead and take responsibility for efficient, accurate pre-treatment procedures using CT, PET CT, MRI and pre-treatment software.
Assess patient condition and intervene as needed; obtain written informed consent prior to pre-treatment procedures.
Develop relationships with patients and carers, offering guidance on radiotherapy side effects and follow-up care.
Communicate effectively to share confidential information and support patients through the care pathway.
